Licence to Operate a Boom Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more) Training

Why Choose This Course

This course is for anyone who will be operating an Elevating Work Platform (EWP) in Australia. Under WorkSafe requirements EWP operators are required to hold a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for class WP if they will be operating a boom-type EWP over 11 metres.

EWPs are used for many different tasks around the workplace from maintenance work, checking electrical work, accessing rooftops and cleaning gutters and is a very useful ticket in all facets of employment and industry.

An EWP is either a telescoping device, hinged device, articulated device, or a combination of these used to support a platform from which personnel, equipment or materials can be elevated to perform work.

These courses provides the participants with the skills and the knowledge to safely operate an EWP, and which may lead to the assessments required by the relevant State or Territory to issue a High Risk Work Licence for operating a Boom-type EWP.

Note: Participants are responsible for the submission of their application for a High Risk Work Licence to their relevant state or territory regulatorClick here for further information on how to apply for a HRWL.
