Meet Rebecca Bryen
Rebecca is the driving force of the FSA Darwin office, handling majority of the training and also some admin work. Rebecca has a constant Thirst for Improvement and has won awards for her great work both within Australia and internationally. A positive student experience and a thirst for improvement is what drives Rebecca and makes her the great trainer and employee she is.

What inspired you to join FSA as a trainer?
I was inspired to join FSA as it is a progressive company with a progressive culture. I also was excited to see some of the NT experts in a training capacity and gain experience in a new field and a brand new set of skills. Additionally, the Interview process made me believe that FSA was a good company to work for.
What do you love most about your role?
I love the day to day feedback, when students walk up to you at the end of the day and say things like: “You’re the best trainer we’ve ever had teach this subject, you make it fun and interesting.” That kind of feedback makes my day, to see they’ve walked away with knowledge and had a great time doing it.
I also love my helpful and highly knowledgeable colleagues interstate, everyone I’ve met to date has been polite, helpful and easy to work with.
What is the most challenging aspect of your role?
It is a government requirement to collect a USI number from each student, this can be like getting blood from a stone, and drives me a little bonkers sometimes!
What is your proudest career achievement?
With FSA, it would be the feedback I get regularly from students and the confidence and trust that my managers have in my ability and positive attitude.
External to FSA, winning 2 international leadership awards, which included a trip to London for the awards night. Being recognised formally within a large global company for the hard work I put into projects was a great feeling
Do you have any safety tips for the people?
The standard you walk past and do nothing about is the standard you accept.
What do you wish you knew when you were younger?
Money isn’t everything, life balance is very important for your happiness. If a job takes that away from you, re-look at priorities. Doesn’t matter what you get paid to do, as long as you genuinely love what you do.
