Fire and Safety Australia has been working with VIC/TAS & SA Bunnings stores for over 3 years. Bunnings approached FSA to write a nationally recognised tailored fire warden training course that is specific to Bunnings stores.
FSA took on the challenge and we met with the Bunnings safety team, reviewed the Bunnings emergency management procedures and did several store walk arounds (to take photos, obtain more first hand information and look at local Fire/EWIS systems).
FSA put a tailored fire warden training course together and delivered our first fire warden training course at the Port Melbourne store for the store wardens and the Bunnings safety team. FSA conducted an emergency evacuation exercise of the store and did a summary report which identified areas of improvement.
The tailored emergency management services that we’ve completed for Bunnings stores include: Fire warden training, Chief warden training, Fire Extinguisher training, Spill Kit training and we have also run emergency evacuation exercises and provided comprehensive written reports.
We deliver fire warden training and chief warden training to approximately 80 stores per year and put together a cost effective solution where several stores can group together with a maximum of 15 participants to receive tailored training.
