This ACT-specific course is designed to refresh the knowledge and skills of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and Deputy HSRs, enabling them to continue promoting and ensuring workplace health and safety. It is intended for those who have completed the ACT HSR Initial training and have requested regulator-approved refresher training.
Under section 72 of the ACT WHS Act 2011, an employer, if requested, must allow an elected HSR to attend a HSR training course that is approved by the regulator (WorkSafe ACT) and chosen by the HSR in consultation with their employer. Fire & Safety Australia is approved by WorkSafe ACT to deliver the ACT HSR Initial & Refresher Training Courses.
