Prerequisites and Entry Requirements

FSA Entry Requirements:

  • Access to the internet
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course

Physical Requirements:

This course requires a basic to moderate level of mobility and stamina, with one practical rescue scenario requiring upper body strength and endurance for simulated CPR.

To successfully complete this course, you will need to be physically able to:

  • Wear standard PPE items such as gloves, safety glasses, boots, and hearing protection.
  • Walk and move safely around a workplace to identify hazards.
  • Bend, kneel, and use correct manual handling when responding to a simulated incident.
  • Move or assist a simulated casualty (10–20kg) and perform CPR compressions.
  • Complete simple WHS documentation such as Take 5s and incident reports.

Key overall physical demands:

  • Basic mobility for walking, standing, bending, and kneeling
  • Manual handling – moving/managing a simulated casualty (10–20kg)
  • Strength and stamina – performing CPR compressions during rescue scenario
  • Dexterity – donning PPE, completing forms, safe handling practices
  • Administrative work – Take 5s, incident reports, WHS documentation

Entry Requirements

This course is conducted as an online course with eLearning and assessment completed via our Learner Portal.

This is a self paced online lesson, participants are required to complete the learning and assessment (approx 4-6 hours). Participants are required to create an account in our Learner Portal to complete the learning and assessment. Access to the Learner Portal will be provided upon enrolment confirmation

Participants enrolment duration to complete the online learning and assessment for this course is 1 month, after this period the enrolment will be deactivated and will require further enrolment to complete the course which may attract additional fees
