FSA Entry Requirements:

• Verifiable USI
• Fitness to participate
• Sufficient digital, language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course (LLN testing to be completed on course application). 
• Enclosed footwear and site appropriate clothing
• RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent)
• Current HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid certificate
• Demonstrated and evidenced industry experience in Emergency Response, rescue or public safety operations within industrial, resources or infrastructure environments.
• Be currently employed in, or have access to, a workplace that supports applied learning and assessment at a coordination or supervisory level, including access to workplace documentation

Evidence of holding the above competencies must be provided prior to entry into the course.

Physical Requirements:

This qualification requires a moderate level of physical capability. While the focus of the course is on coordination, leadership and emergency management. Students are required to actively participate in practical simulations, scenario exercises and team-based activities that may involve extended periods of standing, movement and communication under simulated emergency conditions

Key physical tasks may include:

• Participating in simulated emergency coordination exercises
• Standing for extended periods during practical activities
• Moving between coordination points or simulated incident areas
• Wearing basic PPE during practical scenarios (where applicable)
• Using communication equipment such as hand-held radios
• Completing written and / or digital documentation during time-pressured scenarios
• Engaging in group discussions and debrief sessions
• Maintaining situational awareness in dynamic training environments

• Mobility: Ability to move freely within training environments
• Stamina: Capacity to participate in long full-day training sessions
• Communication: Clear verbal communication during simulations
• Manual Handling: Light handling of documentation, communication tools or emergency equipment
