CITB Funding

We offer subsidised fees for short courses in construction for Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) members. To take advantage of this, you’ll need to provide your CITB member number (e.g., CITB123456789).

If you’ve already booked a course with us online and want to use this discount, please get in touch with us and provide your CITB member number. We will validate your membership and ensure you’re invoiced for the discounted amount.

Who delivers the training?.

Training is provided by CITB Endorsed Training Providers (ETPs), not directly by CITB

How much funding can I receive?.

With an approved CITB number, you can access up to $3,000 in subsidies each financial year.

How much does CITB subsidise per course?.

CITB subsidises a minimum of 60% of the course fee, depending on the training provider and course cost.

What if the training doesn’t go ahead?.

If your training is cancelled or doesn’t proceed, the training provider will remove your claim, and the subsidy will return to your CITB account.

How do I register for CITB funding?.

You need to apply for a CITB number through the CITB website to access funding. This number is used to track your subsidies.

Can apprentices complete other short courses while in training?.

Yes, apprentices can take short courses while training and receive up to $3,000 in subsidies.

How do I get my new apprentice registered for CITB funding?.

Apprentices must apply for a CITB number and select the apprentice option, ensuring they enter your business details for the employer link.

What if the training doesn’t go ahead?.

We understand that circumstances change, and you might not proceed with approved training, or the course / activity might be cancelled.

If that is the case, the training provider you enrolled with can remove your claim from our system, and the subsidy will return to your CITB account. You can check the balance of your account at MyCITB.
