This course develops the essential skills and knowledge needed to safely operate a gantry or overhead crane. While this training does not result in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), it prepares you for all the necessary tasks involved in crane operation.
A gantry crane consists of a bridge beam supported by legs on end carriages, capable of traveling on various surfaces. It includes a crab with one or more hoisting units that move across the bridge.
