A gantry crane consists of a bridge beam supported by legs on end carriages, capable of traveling on various surfaces. It includes a crab with one or more hoisting units that move across the bridge.

FSA Entry Requirements:

  • USI
  • Fitness to participate
  • Participants are required to wear safety footwear, long sleeve shirts and long pants or overalls (site appropriate clothing, steel-cap boots and PPE). Participants may be refused entry where they attend without safety footwear
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course
