Course Content

  • Stop and Think: Pause and consider the task at hand. Reflect on the potential dangers and ensure you have a clear understanding of what needs to be done.
  • Look and Identify: Scan your surroundings to identify any hazards. This step is crucial in recognising risks that might not be immediately obvious.
  • Assess the Risk: Evaluate the identified hazards to determine their potential impact. Consider both the likelihood of occurrence and the severity of possible injuries.
  • Control Hazards: Implement measures to mitigate the identified risks. This could involve using personal protective equipment (PPE), modifying work procedures, or eliminating the hazard altogether.
  • Monitor Hazards: Continuously observe the work environment to ensure that the control measures are effective and that no new hazards have emerged.
