Delivery Format
Blended Workshops and Distance Online eLearning
This format combines five days of face-to-face workshops with self-paced online learning to offer a balanced and interactive approach. The face-to-face workshops are designed to provide participants with direct access to trainers and subject matter experts in the WHS field, engaging them through trainer-led presentations, practical activities, and real-world case studies.
During the face-to-face workshops, participants will explore core topics such as risk management, WHS laws, and incident response, with ample opportunities for interactive discussions and role-playing scenarios.
After the workshops, participants will continue their studies via self-paced online learning through FSA’s Participant Portal. This phase allows participants to complete assessments, further their understanding of the course material, and apply the concepts learned in the workshops to practical scenarios.
The online eLearning component is designed to be flexible, enabling participants to study at their own pace while benefiting from ongoing support from trainers through regularly scheduled online Q&A sessions and email consultations.
Key Features:
- 5 days of face-to-face workshops that include practical activities and trainer-led sessions.
- Follow-up self-paced online learning and assessments through the FSA Participant Portal.
- Interactive, real-world case studies and role-playing exercises during face-to-face workshops.
- Regular online Q&A sessions and ongoing trainer support throughout the online component.
- No assessment during workshops; all assessments are completed online post-workshop.
Distance Online eLearning
For participants who prefer a fully online learning experience, FSA offers a Distance Online eLearning format. This format allows participants to complete all course material and assessments online, giving them the flexibility to study at their own pace.
All learning materials, including interactive modules, readings, and videos, are available through the FSA Participant Portal. Participants can progress through the content independently, with the option to reach out to trainers for personalised support via email or online meetings.
While this format is entirely self-paced, FSA ensures continuous participant engagement through regular online Q&A sessions, where participants can interact with their trainers and peers to clarify any doubts and discuss course topics.
The flexibility of this delivery format means that participants can manage their study schedule around their professional and personal commitments.
Key Features:
- Fully online format with all learning materials available via the FSA Participant Portal.
- Self-paced learning with no fixed workshop days.
- Access to interactive modules, readings, and videos that help participants understand WHS concepts.
- Regular online Q&A sessions with trainers to facilitate engagement and support.
- Flexible study schedule, ideal for participants with other commitments.
- Personalised support available via email and online meetings with trainers.
Both delivery options are designed to ensure that participants gain both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to excel in the Work Health and Safety field. Regardless of the delivery mode, participants will have access to the same high-quality resources, expert trainers, and industry-relevant content, allowing them to successfully complete their studies while applying their learning in the workplace.
Both delivery formats require the participants to have access to common business equipment and software eg: laptops, internet, software programs such as MS Word and PDF.
Units of Competency are organised into a structured learning format which is designed to assist participants, not to overwhelm them with a big workload. Refer to below for further delivery plan details.
All participants and assessors will have access to FSA’s participant portal to submit assessments and monitor progress. Regular Q&A sessions are scheduled with all enrolled participants invited to attend and ongoing support is available, regardless of the delivery format enrolled into.
