Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Accredited Training

Fire and Safety Australia Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s leading providers in the provision of GWO safety training to the renewable energy industry. We have GWO accredited trainers and facilities in every State of Australia.  With clients such as GE, Siemens, and AGL, FSA was recognised as a finalist in the Global Wind organisation Safety Training Awards in 2021.

GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)

GWO- Basic Safety Training (BST) and Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) training is a dedicated course for the Global Wind Organisation that allows our participants to come away with the necessary basic safety knowledge and skills to work within a wind turbine environment.  The courses are conducted either at our dedicated training facilities across Australia, or at client locations at various renewable energy and wind farm projects across Australia.

Each participant will be able to undertake GWO accredited training in- Working at Heights, Provide First Aid, Provide Advanced First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, confine small emergencies, and participate in rescue operations.  Refresher courses are also available.   FSA’s GWO BST and BSTR courses are Nationally Accredited and GWO accredited.

GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)

Our Global Wind Organisation Advanced Rescue Training is GWO accredited training specific to the GWO industry.  This training allows Wind Turbine personnel, on and offshore, to initiate rescue operations prior to emergency services attending the facility.  With wind turbines situated in remote areas and personnel requiring specialised skills to perform rescue operations, having a sufficient quantity of trained emergency responders on-site is critical. By training your staff in GWO Advanced Rescue Training Techniques specific to the wind industry, you are increasing the self reliance of your workforce and reducing the response time of incidents at your facility.  Whilst many other training providers teach non-GWO approved rescue techniques, working with FSA for GWO accredited advanced rescue training will provide peace of mind for your personnel.
