Phil Hammond

Phil is a WHS Trainer with Fire Safety Australia. He started with the NSCA in 2010 and continues in a similar and expanding role in FSA, focusing mainly on improving health and safety culture at work.

Based in Sydney and primarily services clients within the Sydney metropolitan area as well as parts of regional New South Wales and the ACT and other Australian states as required.

Phil has more than 20 years’ experience in most aspects of the application and management of quality and occupational/ work health safety management systems. Phil has held a number of positions with a variety of organisations from large national companies to small and medium sized businesses where he gained and shared a variety of experiences and skills. He has developed, taught, assessed and reviewed training programs and procedures as well as assessing technical hands-on skills, personal and interpersonal skills.

Phil’s broad spectrum of experience has taken him into areas such as business administration, food, manufacturing, health, transport and warehousing operations from operator through to management levels.

Prior to his commencement with the NSCA, Phil worked with Registered Training Organisations (RTO) to provide training and assessment services to client organisation upskilling staff through traineeships and focused short course training. He has worked as a consultant trainer and assessor in warehousing, process manufacturing, business and training and assessment as well as teaching WorkCover accredited and other safety courses.
