World Mental Health Day

Thursday 10th October 2019 is World Mental Health Day. The World Federation for Mental Health created the global day of awareness to reduce stigma and help shed a more positive light on mental health.

The campaign from Mental Health Australia, ‘Do You See What I See?’ prompts people to make a #MentalHealthPromise to see beyond the stigma and make mental health more visible between family, friends, and society.

In 2019 Australia still has a major issue with the stigma around mental illness. This misunderstanding and prejudice towards mental illness can prevent people from wanting or feeling able to seek help and negatively affect them further.

With one in five Australians affected by mental illness annually, it is time to reduce the stigma and see mental health in a more positive light.

This World Mental Health Day make your #MentalHealthPromise
